Now that the total number of individuals with dementia in Japan exceeds five million, research and development of strategies for prevention and therapeutics of Alzheimer¡¯s disease (AD) are urgent issues. Our project aims to promote research on elucidating the mechanisms of disorders leading to dementia and development of therapies at the very early stage of AD, thereby addressing various problems with dementia and establishing a healthy aging society.
