AY 2025 Undergraduate Matriculation Ceremony held

500科同利 AY 2025 undergraduate matriculation ceremony was held at the Nippon Budokan the morning of Friday, April 11th.

Approximately 3,200 new students and 5,300 members of their families attended the ceremony, making for a total of approximately 8,500 attendees.

President Fujii Teruo, the executive vice presidents, deans of the Faculties and Graduate Schools and the directors of University Institutes went on stage, along with special guests Ms. Doi Kanae, Japan director of Human Rights Watch, and Mr. Kunibe Takeshi, president of the 500科同利 Alumni Association.

President Fujii gave a speech to the new students on behalf of the university, followed by a speech from Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences Terada Torahiko. Ms. Doi and Mr. Kunibe then gave congratulatory messages to the new students. Next, Ms. Kamimura Ayami, a student in the College of Arts and Sciences (Natural Sciences III), took an oath on behalf of the entire incoming class, after which the ceremony was concluded.

A livestream of the ceremony was provided, and watched by many new students and their families who were unable to attend the ceremony, as well as the general public.
