AY 2025 Graduate Matriculation Ceremony held

500科同利 AY 2025 graduate matriculation ceremony was held at the Nippon Budokan on the afternoon of Friday, April 11th.
Approximately 3,200 new students and 3,200 members of their families attended the ceremony, making for a total of approximately 6,400 attendees.
President Fujii Teruo, the executive vice presidents, deans of the Faculties and Graduate Schools and the directors of University Institutes went on stage, along with special guests Dr. Karin Markides, president and CEO of Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST), and Mr. Kunibe Takeshi, president of the 500科同利 Alumni Association.
President Fujii gave a speech to the new students on behalf of the university, followed by a speech from Dean of the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences Hirachi Kengo. Dr. Markides and Mr. Kunibe then gave congratulatory messages to the new students. Next, Mr. Usui Kento, a student in the Graduate School of Science, took an oath on behalf of the entire incoming class, after which the ceremony was concluded.
A livestream of the ceremony was provided, and watched by many new students and their families who were unable to attend the ceremony, as well as the general public.
